Leanne Wright
Leanne Wright is a partner in the private equity team in the London office of Osborne Clarke, and a key leader within a growing team of expert Corporate lawyers.
Described by a CEO client as "calm, sharp, patient, highly experienced and tough when it counts - a perfect ambassador of OC and a gladiator for her clients," Leanne has extensive experience across the spectrum of private M&A and private equity deals, representing both buyers and sellers across multiple sectors.
She joined Osborne Clarke in 2021 and focuses on advising founders and multi-jurisdictional management teams on transactions with private equity, including on complex and cross-border secondary buyouts.
Leanne's relationship-driven and straight-talking approach makes her a trusted advisor to her clients and enables her to deliver cohesive and commercially focused advice at pace.
She takes a long‑term, people‑focused view of acquisitions, looking beyond completion to ensure the deal provides a solid foundation for all parties.
Whether it's the first big transaction, or the next turn of the handle with a new investment partner, I recognise that the deals I work on are often major life events for founders and management teams, not just a business one.
Amidst all the complexities and time constraints of working on corporate transactions, the leadership teams at the heart of the target business need a lawyer they can trust to help them navigate the process, prioritise the issues, and protect their interest in a way that ensures the best possible starting point for the new relationship between the parties following completion.
I am grateful that through my work I get to support so many inspiring leaders of transformational businesses and I love seeing how those businesses develop over time.
I am passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and I am always delighted by opportunities to support and promote women founders in particular, as the world of work and business continues to strive towards creating a better and fairer future for us all.
