Leanne Wright

Leanne is an Associate Director in the Private Equity team focussing on advising founders and management teams on private equity transactions.

She joined Osborne Clarke in 2021 after several years advising on mid-market private equity transitions in the retail, hospitality and leisure, fashion and tech sectors at another UK legal practice.

Leanne has experience in all aspects of private M&A and private equity deals acting for buyers and sellers, as well as general corporate work.

Whether it's the first big transaction, or the next turn of the handle with a new investment partner, I recognise that the deals I work on are often major life events for founders and management teams, not just a business one.

Amidst all the complexities and time constraints of working on corporate transactions, the leadership teams at the heart of the target business need a lawyer they can trust to help them navigate the process, prioritise the issues, and protect their interest in a way that ensures the best possible starting point for the new relationship between the parties following completion.

I am grateful that through my work I get to support so many inspiring leaders of transformational businesses and I love seeing how those businesses develop over time.

I am passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and I am always delighted by opportunities to support and promote women founders in particular, as the world of work and business continues to strive towards creating a better and fairer future for us all.

Outside of my work at OC, I am a trustee of the Sophie Hayes Foundation, a charity supporting women survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery to achieve sustainable independence through employability.
