Heiko Petzold heads the German real estate law practice group at Osborne Clarke. He has many years of experience in advising national and international investors, banks and project developers with a focus on the real estate industry.

His area of expertise includes real estate transactions by way of asset or share deals as well as project developments. This included large portfolio transactions as well as large individual properties from various asset classes. The support of investors and banks in real estate financing and the purchase and subsequent work-out of non-performing loan portfolios secured by real estate form a further focus of his activities.

After his apprenticeship as a banker, Heiko studied law in Hamburg. He started his legal career in large international law firms and was a partner in a boutique law firm focusing on real estate before joining Osborne Clarke in 2021.
