With significant employment law reforms now been implemented, we will discuss what employers must do now to prepare for the 2026/2027 reforms and, in particular, highlight the key changes impacting employers in the retail and consumer sector.

Product Law

The recent consultations provide insight into how the UK General Product Safety Regime is due to change.  This is likely to be one of the most fundamental changes to UK product law in the last 20 years and will have significant implications for all retail businesses and particularly online marketplaces.  There is also likely to be a change to enforcement, with a shift to product regulators having similar powers to the CMA.  In this session we will bring you up to speed with the proposed changes and compare the proposed UK rules with the EU's general product safety regime.
