International Women's Day Event | #BreakTheBias

OC Refugee Aid Action Group and OC Gender are pleased to be collaborating together for International Women's Day 2022 with keynote speaker Anila Noor. Anila is a co-founder of Global Independent Refugee Women Leaders (GIRWL), a refugee-activist, TEDx speaker and researcher based in the Netherlands. She has a diverse experience working with both national and international non-profit organisations, including the UNHCR Board for Diversity, Integration & Gender Inclusion. The talk will explore the challenges Anila has faced breaking the bias and how she is ensuring the voices of migrant and refugee women are integrated into global policy-making, as well as offering an important insight into global attitudes to gender.

After the talk, our charity partner, SolidariTee, will lead a Q&A session to discuss how we can break the bias. SolidariTee is a grass-roots organisation that funds NGOs and provides legal aid to refugees and asylum seekers.
