Data Protection Forum - The future of data regulation - London

The Future of Data Regulation

Osborne Clarke is pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual Data Forum in person in London and Bristol in June 2022. This year, the focus will be the Future of Data Regulation, and we will assess a variety of data regulation trends affecting data driven businesses (including both new legislation, and emerging challenges with existing legislation).

In particular, we plan to cover:

  • International data flows with a representative from DCMS alongside our Osborne Clarke international colleagues, including discussions on the continuing fall-out from Schrems II, updated data transfer mechanisms and Privacy Shield 2.0.
  • UK data protection law following Brexit, and a discussion on the UK government's consultation "UK Data: a new direction" and proposed new UK legislation.
  • Key themes and trends which will impact data driven businesses, including from a competition and intellectual property perspective.

This session will be held in London and will include a networking breakfast and lunch.

We are hosting the same event in Bristol on the 16th June. Click here for more information.
