Osborne Clarke advises LDC on investment in Moorhouse
Published on 6 November 2026
International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group, on its investment in Moorhouse, a leading management and transformation consultancy, following the sale of the business by Expleo, a global engineering, technology and consulting services provider.
The transaction highlights Osborne Clarke’s experience advising private equity investors on investments in professional and business services firms. It also demonstrates the firm’s ability to support transactions involving the transition of a business to independence and its next phase of growth.
Moorhouse delivers complex integrated transformation projects spanning strategy, people and technology, and operates across the public and private sectors. LDC’s investment will support the business’ growth strategy as an independent consultancy, including the expansion of its intellectual property and products, and targeted acquisitions.
Advising LDC on this investment gave us the opportunity to draw on our private equity and business services experience to support this important next step for Moorhouse in its growth journey. It's been a pleasure to support LDC, with whom we have a longstanding relationship, on this transaction and we look forward to seeing the business develop as an independent consultancy
The Osborne Clarke team was led by partners Alistair Francis and James Mackay, supported by senior associate Jack Harris and associates Courtney Cox and Harry Stewart (Corporate); partner James Meakin and senior associate Rohesia Vince-Brown (Tax); legal director Shona Toms (Commercial); partner James Hunt and senior associate Emma Hallam (Banking); and partner Lara Fatemi and senior associate Maeve Gillespie (Employment)
