Published on 15 October 2026

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has again received strong recognition in one of the world’s leading independent legal directories, Chambers UK. This year, the firm has secured 65 practice area rankings and 121 individual rankings. Key achievements include new practice area rankings for Life Sciences, Band 1 recognition in 17 practice areas and 23 individual rankings in the top band.

Highlights include:

  • Nine new practice area rankings, including UK-wide recognition for Life Sciences: IP/Patent Litigation and Life Sciences: Transactional. Other additions include Band 1 rankings for Intellectual Property: Law Firms With Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys in London and Investment Funds: Private Equity: Venture Capital.
  • Five improved practice area rankings, with Litigation moving into Band 1, alongside advances in Competition / European Law, Construction: Contentious, Employment and Tax: Contentious.
  • 17 new individual rankings, including Band 1 recognition for Ashley Hurst in Cyber and Breach Response.
  • 12 improved individual rankings, with Gary Lawrenson moving into Band 1 for Real Estate Litigation in London.
  • Four lawyers ranked as Associates to Watch, two as Star Associates and nine new or improved Up and Coming rankings, highlighting the strength of emerging talent across the firm.

These excellent results reflect both the expertise of our people and the strength of our client relationships. I'm particularly pleased to see new recognition across practice areas such as Life Sciences, alongside strong rankings for both established lawyers and emerging talent. Thank you very much to our clients for their feedback, and to our people for their commitment to delivering outstanding legal services right across the firm.
