Osborne Clarke EC/VC team advises Irresistible Materials on strategic investment by TOK

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Irresistible Materials, a leading innovator in the development of materials for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, on its strategic investment and joint development partnership with Japanese listed Tokyo Ohka Kogyo Co., Ltd.

The partnership is focused on accelerating innovations in photoresists materials for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. Both companies will focus exclusively on accelerating the development of Multi Trigger Resist (MTR), Irresistible Materials' patented EUV resist platform, and advancing its commercialisation to drive industry adoption.

Irresistible Materials, originally a University of Birmingham spin-out, will use the investment to expand its team, primarily in Birmingham, and enhance its infrastructure, including additional equipment, materials and facilities.

Osborne Clarke's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital team has a long-standing relationship with Irresistible Materials, having advised the company since 2017.
