Osborne Clarke collaborates with Lexroom.ai in preparing the new Consumer Law Module

Published on 15th September 2025

Lexroom.ai's new Consumer Law Module, developed in collaboration with Osborne Clarke, an international law firm that has always focused on digital innovation in the legal field, is now available. The new release further expands the thematic coverage of the platform, responding to the growing demand for effective tools to address one of the most fragmented and dynamic areas of contemporary law.

Consumer law is characterised by its complexity and regulatory stratification. References range from the Consumer Code to European directives on credit contracts, from AGCM [Italian Competition Authority] resolutions to regulations on geo-blocking, tourism, and misleading advertising, to administrative measures and court rulings. For lawyers and consultants, navigating this scenario often means dealing with long research times and continuous regulatory updates, taking precious resources away from strategic work and client relations.

In the course of 2024, according to the official Euroconsumers report, the total economic damage suffered by European consumers as a result of unfair commercial practices was estimated at around Euro 259 million. A figure that confirms the urgency of qualified tools to navigate the complexity and priority of the matter.

Thanks to a semantic query engine trained on vertical legal sources, the platform allows users to ask questions in natural language and obtain reasoned, complete and documented answers. The system dynamically links national and European regulations, AGCM measures, administrative rulings and interpretative communications of the European Commission. In a matter of seconds, the user obtains a coherent and searchable framework, useful for drafting acts, answering operational questions or providing advice.

Martina Domenicali, CRO and co-founder of Lexroom.ai: “The collaboration with the Osborne Clarke team fits perfectly with our vision of developing specialised modules with recognised, cutting-edge law firms on specific subjects. We have found a team of professionals who are extremely knowledgeable on the subject and open to embracing technological innovation that can facilitate and streamline their work. The synergy with the firm has allowed us to test the functionality of the new module from the early stages, validating its quality on real-life cases".

Gianluigi Marino, partner and head of AI and digitalisation at Osborne Clarke in Italy: “We enthusiastically accepted Lexroom.ai's invitation to collaborate on this project, which is based on shared values: a positive vision and a proactive approach to innovation and technology. In a phase of rapid transformation, knowledge is the main tool to rely on, and we believe that, with this collaboration, we have contributed to the release of a product that will provide lawyers with support and guidance in carrying out their tasks".

The technical architecture, already validated in areas such as criminal, administrative and tax law, allows the system to interpret the context of uploaded documents and generate consistent, up-to-date and reformulable outputs.

The Consumer Law Module is already available and can be purchased by all Lexroom.ai customers. It can also be activated on request for customised enterprise accounts.
