Osborne Clarke recently advised Germani S.p.A., a company operating in the transport and shipping sector, and Pallacanestro Brescia in the acquisition of the sports business of Basket Brescia Leonessa S.p.A., whose men’s first team plays in the Italian Series A Basketball championship league.

This transaction is the first of its kind in Italy to be completed based on the so-called Lodo Salva Città, approved in early June 2020 by the Italian Basketball Federation and aimed at supporting the teams taking part in Italy’s most important basketball championship.

Osborne Clarke's team was composed of managing partner, Riccardo Roversi, who was also asked to join the board of directors of Pallacanestro Brescia, Pierfilippo Capello, partner and head of Osborne Clarke's Italian sports practice, and trainee Davide Alesso.
