International legal practice Osborne Clarke welcomes Philip Tansley to its partnership today.
Joining from Shoosmiths, Phil is a contentious lawyer who brings 21 years' experience of complex insurance disputes, cyber incident response, technology and privacy disputes, and broader commercial litigation and arbitration.
Phil's arrival will complement Osborne Clarke's market leading, data and tech disputes team where he will work alongside Partners Charlie Wedin, Ashley Hurst and others, helping expand the commercial disputes service line and boosting the firm's capability in relation to insured risks.

Phil's appointment forms a key part of Osborne Clarke's disputes team's on-going expansion during the last five years, which has seen the appointment of patent litigators Tim Harris (2020) and Will James (2019), commercial litigator Jane Park Weir (2019), tax litigator Ian Hyde (2019), international arbitration specialist Artem Doudko (2018), financial regulatory disputes expert Rachel Couter (2017), and an IP and trademark team from Rouse (2017).
