Software is designed to support radiologists in the fight against coronavirus.

Munich/Germany, April 22, 2020. The international legal practice Osborne Clarke advised the Munich startup Smart Reporting on the Series B financing round of over EUR 15 million. The lead investor is venture capitalist Yabeo. In the first financing round Smart Reporting already secured growth capital of EUR 6.5 million. In total, the company is supported by around 30 investors, including Wolfgang Reitzle, chairman of the supervisory board of the DAX company Linde and Continental.

The Osborne Clarke team consisted of Philip Meichssner (lead, Corporate / M&A) and Lorenz Chwaszcza (Corporate).

The Smart Reporting software is designed to support doctors in the treatment of corona patients. Covid-19 patients with severe breathing difficulties or lung failure are currently being viewed primarily using computed tomography (CT). Radiologists therefore have an important function in the diagnosis. Part of the software that has been tried and tested in other clinical pictures is therefore now a report for Covid 19 patients, which Smart Reporting is currently making available free of charge. Due to the template, the radiologists do not have to write a report in free text and thus save time. According to the company, more than 10,000 radiologists from over 90 countries use the smart reporting templates. With capital from the financing round, the company also wants to expand to the US market, and there are also supposed to be reports for oncologists and cardiologists.
