Osborne Clarke advises A & O Fischer on the acquisition of letterei.de Postdienste

Osborne Clarke has advised communications service provider A & O Fischer GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of letterei.de Postdienste GmbH, one of the leading hybrid providers of online mail services in Germany. 

letterei.de, based in Flörsheim am Main, was one of the first providers of hybrid letter dispatch in Germany. In this process, a digitally created letter is printed, enveloped, franked and physically delivered to the recipient by a service provider. 

To strengthen its market position in the online segment, A & O Fischer acquired the company at the turn of the year. In addition to onlinebrief24.de, a provider of hybrid mail delivery for business customers, letterei.de, a service provider for the dispatch of promotional mailings, is now part of A & O Fischer's portfolio. 

Both complement the already existing range of services with LetterXpress.de and paperdoo as well as an individual project business in the field of letter mailing. The entire production, customer service and development were relocated to A & O Fischer's site in Winsen (Luhe) on 1 January 2023.

The purchase is intended to make A & O Fischer a holistic provider for digital customer communication. “The acquisition is an important milestone for our company,” emphasises Managing Director Oliver Fischer. All parties involved were particularly pleased with the smooth handling of the acquisition: “The professional support and advice provided by Osborne Clarke during the purchase process was targeted and always at eye level,” say managing directors Oliver and André Fischer.

From A & O Fischer, André Fischer, Oliver Fischer, Silke Roske and Gülden Steinhoff oversaw the acquisition.
