Yousuf Chughtai is a Senior Associate in our tax disputes team.
Yousuf has a wide‑ranging practice covering all aspects of contentious tax matters relating to both corporates and individuals. He has experience of supporting clients at all stages of the HMRC enquiry process, assisting with voluntary disclosures, guiding clients through alternative dispute resolution with HMRC and handling appeals before the First‑tier Tribunal.
As well as his expertise in settling and litigating tax disputes, Yousuf also has an interest in understanding the key tax risk and compliance issues impacting large and complex businesses. He writes regularly on tax disputes and risk issues, including for Tax Journal, and is a contributing author to the Lexology Panoramic for Tax Controversy 2026.
