Philippa Rigby

Philippa is a corporate partner in the London office of Osborne Clarke. 

Philippa spealises predominantly in Corporate Real Estate, having advised across a breadth of Real Estate sectors including care homes, student accommodation, hospitality, offices and mixed use developments. She also has extensive private M&A experience within the retail, technology and infrastructure sectors.

Within Corporate Real Estate, Philippa has delivered commercially focused advice to a range of clients, from international plcs, REITs, private equity houses, asset managers and global investment banks. Such work has included acquisitions and disposals of SPVs and JPUTs, reorganisations of opco/propcos and establishing and advising joint ventures.

Philippa’s private M&A practice focuses on business and share acquisitions and disposals to and for private equity houses, founders and owner managers. Philippa has led complex and high value domestic and cross-border transactions.

Philippa is experienced in leading, drafting, negotiating, and closing deals, always delivering results in a confident and efficient manner. She leads a senior-led, relationship-driven practice, with a focus on considering both the technical and human elements to any deal. Philippa’s clients frequently comment that they enjoy working with her - she is known for her ability to meet client’s targets in a challenging landscape, all whilst maintaining a sense of humour.

Philippa’s ability to quickly grasp and distil the critical and commercial issues, and communicate them succinctly and clearly to the client was incredibly impressive. Moreover, she was brilliant from a relationship perspective, both to our client who she gave confidence to and also to the other side with whom she had a highly effective approach to negotiation.
