Miguel specialises in digital markets, technology and retail. He advises on complex competition law across the UK and EU, with particular experience in distribution, e‑commerce, digital platforms and emerging digital regulation.

With almost 20 years’ experience in competition law, including 12 years’ in‑house experience with global businesses, Miguel combines deep regulatory expertise with a strong commercial mindset. He offers strategic guidance on competition and antitrust matters, including investigations by regulators; merger control and joint ventures; disputes and compliance programmes across EMEA. Miguel’s work supports the continued growth of Osborne Clarke's work in digital markets, online platforms and consumer-facing industries, supporting clients to navigate evolving competition and digital regulations.

Dual qualified in EU and English law, and with extensive experience of the Brussels market, Miguel further strengthens our UK and EU competition offering. Earlier in his career, Miguel worked in the competition teams of international law firms in both Spain and the UK. He is also a non-governmental advisor to the European Commission at the International Competition Network.
