Lucas is a Senior Associated in the Real Estate team with a focus on residential development.

Lucas has over 9 years' experience acting for clients in the full lifecycle of real estate transactions from the promotion and acquisition of land for development, assisting borrowers with obtaining secured financing for development and investment purposes, to the sale and lease of land and buildings to end users including: plot purchasers, affordable housing providers, and commercial and third sector across the UK.

He also has experience acting for promotors on the real estate elements of nationally significant infrastructure projects relating to transportation and energy transmission by way of voluntary acquisition and by the exercise of compulsory acquisition powers.

Lucas' specialism is acting for both private and affordable real estate developers in relation to the acquisition of land and sale of land for primarily residential development purposes. His work includes option agreements, conditional and unconditional agreements for sale and purchase, collaboration agreements, development/turnkey agreements, transfers of land and buildings, and agreements/deeds for the servicing of development sites.

He has acted for Vistry Partnerships, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Developments Plc, Bloor Homes, Kajima Partnerships Limited, and Keepmoat Limited.

Large residential developer

Acting for a large residential developer on a hybrid promotion agreement for the potential development of up to 2,500 residential units.

Private equity backed developer

Acting for a private equity backed developer on the acquisition of land with planning consent for development of a mix private/affordable tenure scheme with an immediate conditional golden brick disposal via a development agreement to an affordable housing provider for the conversion of the scheme to a 100% affordable housing scheme.

Lead developer

Acting for the lead developer on their bid for proposed mixed use regeneration scheme in response to a tender issued by a local authority to be delivered by way of a joint venture of consortium partners.
