Karen Kelat
Karen advises national and international clients on domestic and cross-border transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors. The focus of her practice is advising on acquisitions and disposals, private equity investments, joint ventures and reorganisations. She has particular experience in transactions and projects in the field of renewable energy, specifically battery storage, wind and solar energy projects. She also assists clients with general corporate law matters.
Following her admission to the bar in 2024, Karen worked in the Corporate/M&A practice of an international law firm in Munich before joining Osborne Clarke’s Hamburg office in 2026.
Karen studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg. After successfully completing her studies, she worked as a research assistant in several law firms in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Karen completed her legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg, including stages in the dispute resolution department at a renowned international law firm in Hamburg and an arbitration boutique in Paris.
