Jonathan is a commercial lawyer specialising in data, cyber security and artificial intelligence, as well as technology more broadly.

He advises clients across a range of sectors, with his experience including:

• Data – advising on complex commercial transactions with a data or technology element; managing UK and international compliance projects; handling cross-border and domestic data transfers; preparing for and responding to data security incidents; and supporting clients when data subjects exercise their rights.
• Cyber – advising across the full spectrum of cyber security issues, from incident response (working closely with our litigation team where appropriate) and targeted commercial matters through to the design and implementation of large-scale, cross-border compliance frameworks under UK and international regimes such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act.
• Artificial intelligence – advising across the AI supply chain, including foundation model developers, application providers and users, on governance, compliance, procurement and development.
