James is an Associate in Osborne Clarke's Investment Funds team. He specialises in advising alternative asset managers and investors across a broad range of matters.

James advises on fund formations, acting for alternative asset managers on the establishment and fundraising of new fund structures. He also advises on co-investments, carried interest arrangements, ongoing operational and regulatory matters, and the establishment of corporate joint ventures. 

James has experience in secondary transactions, advising on LP-led portfolio acquisitions as well as GP-led continuation vehicles.

In addition, James advises global private equity firms, pension funds and other institutional investors on their investments across a range of alternative fund strategies, including credit, private equity, royalties, and secondary funds.
