Daragh is a specialist in public sector pensions law, in particular in local government pension scheme matters, and has spoken widely on this subject. He was promoted to Legal Director in May 2016.

He advises a number of local authority pension funds. He has acted in numerous public sector outsourcing projects for contractors and awarding authorities. In 2013 he advised the Environment Agency in connection with the Cabinet Office’s £2 billion shared services outsourcing which was the first major project to fall within the Government’s revised Fair Deal policy.

Daragh’s practice also includes advising trustees and employers on all aspects of private sector pensions law, including scheme establishment, merger, winding-up, compliance issues, drafting scheme documentation and all pensions aspects of corporate transactions and restructuring.

He is an active member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and sits on its Public Sector Pensions Sub-Committee. Daragh trained with Osborne Clarke, and qualified in 2001. Before becoming a lawyer Daragh read Russian and French at university.
