Borja has a bachelor in law, obtained from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (C.U.N.E.F.). He completed his training with a Double Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession and banking law and financial markets and institutions at CUNEF (Madrid).

His career as a lawyer began in the Corporate/M&A department of the Ernst & Young law firm and later in the Garrido Asesores Fiscales, S.L.

Borja is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
