Unlocking the sharing economy

Published on 26th Nov 2014

We are proud to have had the opportunity to talk to Debbie Wosskow of LoveHomeSwap about how Osborne Clarke sees the regulatory legal challenges and practical solutions for the industry during her consultation on the independent review published today.

The report was commissioned by Matthew Hancock MP, the Business Minister and makes several recommendations as to ‘how the UK could become a global centre for this fast-growing sector’.

Osborne Clarke has advised start-ups, established sharing economy businesses, investors into those businesses and major corporates with a vested interest in engaging with or acquiring sharing economy businesses. We help these clients apply laws to traditional and disruptive sharing economy business models, advising on tax, employment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), payments, privacy and many other commercial issues. We continue to keep close to the rapidly changing regulatory environment and to support initiatives aimed at the sharing community.

If you’re interested in hearing how we can help assist your business interests in the sharing economy, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Do you want to hear more about the report? Why not come along to the next Collaborative Consumption Europe event, chaired by Debbie, on the 10 December. For more information please contact events@osborneclarke.com.
