Fast Track competition claims move closer – the first case is scheduled for November

Published on 18th May 2016

The judge in charge of the case ruled on 16 May 2016 that the case appeared to be suitable for Fast Track treatment and scheduled the hearing for the week of 7 November 2016. This is the first case to be approved in this way, as the two previous candidates both settled, and, if it goes to trial, a prime opportunity for the CAT to show that it can promote rapid private enforcement of competition law.
