Data driven Marketing and GDPR – How it works in practice

In this session of the Fashion & Luxury Law Academy, we will discuss how to realise the potential of data for marketing. Katharina Scharnetzky from ABOUT YOU will give us insights into their use of data and her daily work. Afterwards we will show how to overcome the corresponding legal challenges, with a particular emphasis on data protection laws. Part of the session will be case studies as well as recent developments regarding the use of cookies under the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Dr. Jens Schefzig (Partner, Osborne Clarke, Germany)
    Jens is a core member of Osborne Clarke’s Retail and Consumer team and supports his clients in creating value from their data. He advises several clients in the retail industry on their smart data programs and helps them to set up the right organisation, processes and legal documents to utilise data in every area of their operation, in particular, when analysing their customers.
