We were delighted to host a stand at Bristol Pride this year on Saturday 13 July. Having not done this before there was lots to organise and acquire but with great leadership, the work of the committee and wholehearted engagement across the firm, it was a great success. We are now well placed for future events. Bristol Pride is attended by thousands and the Osborne Clarke Pride volunteers made the most of the opportunity - speaking to over a thousand revellers over the course of the day and dishing out an array of Osborne Clarke and Osborne Clarke Pride branded goodies such as headphones, pens, lanyards and sunglasses. The team produced great live coverage of the event, streaming on Instagram and Twitter to enable visitors, clients and employees who couldn't be there to engage and show their support.
Teaming up with gelato mega-producers Swoon and offering scoops of ice cream for bargain rates enabled the team to raise lots of money for the Bristol Pride charity, ensuring the event can continue to run at the same level and have the same great impact for the community. Our new Pride gazebo was a roaring, colourful success and the team's efforts both leading up to the event and on the day have led to a nomination for best EXPO stand at the Bristol Pride awards.
Our engagement with Pride didn't end there. It was celebrated in all UK locations in the weeks surrounding the various Pride events as we hosted internal socials, proudly displayed office flags, gave out rainbow cupcakes and bags of skittles. We also put together a series of curated videos on the importance of Pride, Pride around the world and the development of the movement since the Stonewall riots. Pride branding on both internal and external digital channels allowed us to shout loud and proud and we have big plans for the network and for external and internal events over the next year - we really can't wait to do it all over again!
