Description

Are you curious about life at a law firm and keen to work part‑time at a commercial law firm alongside your studies? Osborne Clarke offers students the opportunity to become a part of our firm. Working part‑time with us is a great way to get a foot in the door, and we are always on the lookout for new talent interested in starting their career in our Talent Pool.

Our Talent Pool is a first step into law firm life, and we view these hires as long‑term, with strong potential for development within the organisation. As a Talent Pool employee, you’ll work in client services and office operations (including reception and conferencing) and become an important part of how our office runs day to day.

What we offer

Working part‑time with Osborne Clarke gives you valuable connections with us as a prospective employer and helps you gauge whether a career as a lawyer at a business law firm is right for you.

Our distinctive Osborne Clarke culture is built under one roof across our jurisdictions, encouraging knowledge‑sharing, collaboration, personal development and, importantly, enjoyment at work. Part‑time roles in our Talent Pool are characterised by trust and responsibility. Your work and development will be reviewed regularly with your supervising lawyer. It is as much in our interest as yours that you develop in line with your goals.

Key skills

  • Strong academic results are great, but we also value commercial awareness, humility, collaboration, listening skills and experience gained outside the legal world.
  • We expect that you are keen to develop and deepen your skills in commercial law.

Key responsibilities

You will have a recurring morning or afternoon shift each week. You can book additional shifts depending on your availability, and we appreciate flexibility with the aim of at least one extra shift per week. Our needs may include mornings, full days and evening events hosted at our office. Tasks vary and include:

  • Welcoming visitors, preparing meeting rooms and keeping communal areas tidy.
