Osborne Clarke recently advised  BRIANZACQUE S.r.l., manager of the integrated water services for the province of Monza e Brianza, in the realisation of a high-efficiency combined heat and power plant, fruit of the operational partnership with Acsm-Agam S.p.A., a multiutility company owned in part by the Boroughs of Monza and Como.

Osborne Clarke, with a team led by partner Giorgio Lezzi, head of Italy’s public law team, and senior lawyer Angelo Maria Quintieri, advised Brianzacque throughout the tender procedure, and also during the performance of the works which were completed ahead of schedule.

The combined heat and power plant, provides both electricity and hot water: the electricity is used to feed the water purification plant in San Rocco managed by Brianzacque, while the hot water provides heat to the district heating network, managed by the multiutility. Prior to the start of works Brianzacque and Acsm-Agam had entered into a specific agreement with the Borough Administration for the City of Monza to support efficiency, energy saving and the reduction of the environmental impact of works.
