International legal practice Osborne Clarke has reported 6% income growth in its UK business to £271.0m for the financial year ended 30 April 2026 (2024/25: £256.6m), as it accelerates investment in international expansion, innovation and AI.

Net profit in the UK also increased by 6% to £93.8m (2024/25: £88.6m), with the firm maintaining a net profit margin of 35%. Profit per equity partner (PEP) remained strong at £805k, and over the last five financial years income has risen from £199m in 2021/22 to £271m in 2025/26 - a 36% increase. During 2025/26 Osborne Clarke UK shared a record £9.1m profit share and bonus pool with its people, sharing the rewards of the firm's success.

International revenue increased to €593.9m, up 8.4% on the prior 12 months and representing an 11.8% compound annual growth rate over the past five years. Growth was driven primarily by Spain, Germany and the UK, as the firm continues to concentrate on delivering commercially focussed, strategically important work for market leading clients in key sectors.

These results show a business that is growing consistently and investing with confidence. Against a backdrop of geopolitical instability, inflationary pressure and rapid technological change, we have delivered 6% income growth, maintained good profitability and kept profit per equity partner above £800,000.

This performance gives us the platform to move decisively from ambition to action  having made substantial investment across people, finance, operations  and technology including AI, while maintaining PEP and future proofing the business.

Looking ahead, we will be sharpening our market focus, scaling innovation and operational support across the firm and deepening collaboration across our international business so that we are the first choice for clients in key sectors. We know that the next few years will be demanding for our clients, so our job is to keep working hard to understand their needs and to stay ahead of the legal and regulatory changes impacting their businesses. We will make sure Osborne Clarke is in the very best place to help them succeed in this period of continued market change."

2025/6 performance by practice and sector

Growth in 2025/26 was broad-based across Osborne Clarke’s four UK practice groups, all of which delivered strong profitability. Projects, Real Estate & Finance (PREF) and Advisory recorded the highest income growth, while Disputes & Risk (D&R) remained the most profitable practice group.

Performance reflected demand in key sectors, with notable growth in Life Sciences & Healthcare, Financial Services and The Built Environment, and continued progress in Energy & Energy Transition.

International focus and European expansion

Osborne Clarke has continued to see strong demand across its international network, particularly in Europe, where clients are seeking support on energy transition, digital transformation, regulatory change and cross‑border transactions.

The firm is planning to consolidate its presence across Europe to deepen support for clients with pan‑European operations and investments. To support its market focus across the international business, Osborne Clarke has appointed partner James Watson, previously in the Energy Projects team, as International Head of Markets, bringing together sector leadership, client relationship management and business development to support growth in the key sectors and services.

Innovation, AI and Osborne Clarke Solutions

The firm is also increasing its investment in technology, AI and legal service delivery, supported by an innovation fund to back priority projects across the business.

Reflecting the central role of technology in the firm’s strategy, partner Dan Wright, previously Director of Osborne Clarke Solutions (OCS), has been promoted to UK Chief Innovation Officer. OCS, the firm’s in‑house technology and solutions arm, will continue to play a key role in delivering AI‑enabled services and LPM support to clients.
