Osborne Clarke and Deloitte advise in Itelyum's acquisition of LaCart

Osborne Clarke advised Itelyum, one of Italy's and Europe's leading operators in industrial waste management and recycling and environmental services, on its acquisition of 100% of the LaCart S.r.l. group, including its subsidiary Ferri & Oliva S.r.l., which specialises in the collection, transport, storage, treatment and recovery of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste.

Osborne Clarke acted with a team led by partner Giovanni Penzo, assisted by associate Myriam Ambrosio and junior associate Matteo Tracanella, for corporate matters, and with a team led by partner Giorgio Lezzi, assisted by senior associate Angelo Maria Quintieri, associate Giulia Bonzini, junior associate Lorenzo Adani and trainee Giulia Perselli, for environmental and administrative law matters. The labour law and real estate law aspects were handled, respectively, by senior associate Giuliana Caira, with trainee Federico Di Fabio, and associate Roberto Salis, with junior associate Giovanna Costa.

Deloitte assisted LaCart with a multidisciplinary team from Deloitte Legal for the legal aspects, and Deloitte Advisory for the financial aspects.

The transaction marks a further step forward in the group's growth strategy, strengthening Itelyum's position as a national leader capable of offering integrated solutions for all types of waste, hazardous and non-hazardous, through a single supplier. With the addition of LaCart, the Itelyum group now counts over 1,700 employees in 55 companies and 50 operating platforms in Italy and Europe, reaffirming its position as a national leader and international player in the management and recovery of industrial waste.
