DERTOUR Group – a Destination Management Company (DMC) specialising in cultural travel, group travel and individual travel – has expanded its portfolio of destinations in Italy by finalising a joint venture with its long-standing partner Valentour, a company operating in the same sector with established relationships with international tour operators and a solid operational infrastructure in Calabria, Sicily and Puglia.

Together, the partners will create a unique structure capable of offering comprehensive DMC coverage for all destinations south of Lake Garda. The new joint venture will significantly extend this geographical reach and strengthen the DERTOUR Group’s position in southern Italy. A particular strategic focus will be placed on Calabria, a destination that continues to grow in importance for the Group.

The joint venture is designed to serve the entire portfolio of DERTOUR Group tour operators, including brands such as Kuoni and Exim, whilst significantly expanding business with third parties. By combining complementary strengths, local expertise and shared systems, the partners aim to create a scalable, future-proof DMC platform with extensive nationwide coverage.

DERTOUR Group was advised by Osborne Clarke, with a team led by partner Giuliano Lanzavecchia, assisted by associate Chiara Carioti and junior associate Aldo Costanzo, on corporate matters, and by partner Pietro Scianna, senior associate Hana Akaike and trainee Federico Di Fabio on employment law matters.
