Osborne Clarke has advised Canaccord Genuity on its role as sponsor on Satsuma Technology plc's move from the transition category of the Official List to the ESCC category of the Official List

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Canaccord Genuity on its role as sponsor to Satsuma Technology plc in respect to its successful move from the equity shares (transition) category of the Official List to listing in the equity shares (commercial companies) category of the Official List and admission to trading on the Main Market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange.

Satsuma intends to develop Bitcoin-based revenue lines, including Bitcoin staking and decentralised AI operations, to generate accretive cash flow that supports the continued accumulation of Bitcoin in Satsuma's treasury. This operational strategy will be implemented organically and through acquisitions and it is designed to complement Satsuma's treasury policy of holding Bitcoin as its primary reserve asset.

Admission to the equity shares (commercial companies) category of the Official List and to trading on the Main Market took place on 19 December 2025 at 8:00 a.m.

This is the second transaction this year that Osborne Clarke has advised on involving a listed company seeking admission to the equity shares (commercial companies) category of the Official List and quickly follows the IPO of Winvia Entertainment on which Osborne Clarke advised Shore Capital.  These listings, along with several other listing announcements emerging in recent weeks, support commentary that the London listing market may be turning a corner.

The Osborne Clarke team that advised Canaccord Genuity on the transaction was led by Partner Jonathan King. Jonathan was assisted by Associate Director Stuart Miller and Senior Associate Oliver Woods.
