Key changes in climate policy – Osborne Clarke in the latest Oxford Climate Policy Monitor report
Published on 10th December 2025
We are pleased to announce that Osborne Clarke experts have been invited to co‑author the latest edition of the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor—one of the flagship reports prepared by the Climate Policy Hub at the University of Oxford. This unique publication examines climate policies across 37 jurisdictions worldwide, covering areas responsible for over 85% of global emissions and 87% of global GDP.
This year’s edition provides an up-to-date and in-depth analysis of global climate regulations, serving as a valuable tool for companies and institutions tracking the development of policies aimed at achieving climate neutrality worldwide. The document identifies regulatory gaps in individual countries, highlights areas requiring further action, and presents best practices that support efforts to reduce emissions at the international level.
This year, the report covered six key regulatory areas: carbon credits, public procurement, transition planning, methane, climate-related disclosure, green prudential rules.
Within the Legal Expert Network—an international network of more than 60 leading law firms—Osborne Clarke was responsible for monitoring and analysing legislative developments in Poland.
This initiative is one example of how Osborne Clarke engages in shaping effective, coherent and responsible climate policies—enabling us to provide professional legal advice on the regulations that will impact business operations in the years ahead.
