Tom is a partner within Osborne Clarke's Commercial team. He focuses on ecommerce, consumer law, and regulatory.
Tom provides commercial and regulatory advice on issues that affect online and digital businesses, and regularly advises on the launch and compliance of consumer facing platforms and digital services across multiple jurisdictions. Tom has particular expertise in the games industry, and is Global Head of Osborne Clarke's Games & Interactive Entertainment practice.
He works on a range of platform related matters in particular, including advising on regulatory investigations, compliance frameworks, and consumer law and platform-specific digital fairness obligations. Tom also has experience advising on monetisation structures for digital and platform businesses.
Tom has advised on, and been passionate about, media and technology throughout his entire career. His previous in-house experience includes working in the BBC’s media litigation team, and being Head of Television Broadcasting at Phonographic Performance Limited. Before becoming a lawyer, Tom worked in the music industry for many years.
