Tom is an Associate Director in our Real Estate Litigation team. His focus is working with clients in the tech, media & communications and the built environment sectors.

Tom helps his clients manage key work-streams and assists with strategic litigation for our telecom operator clients. He has been involved in several key pieces of litigation that have helped to shape the interpretation of the Electronic Communication Code.

As one of the account managers for our client Cornerstone, Tom is involved in providing training and he collaborates with other members of the team to develop and promote best working practices.

Within the built environment sector, Tom advises on both commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes and assists landlords with the management of their leasehold portfolios. Tom's work in this area includes lease renewals, break notices, forfeiture, debt claims, dilapidations disputes and trespass claims.

He has also worked with our housebuilder clients to provide strategic advice and assist in resolving disputes with customers.

Tom has previously worked on a range of property insolvency instructions, including advice connected with administrations, liquidations and CVAs.

Tom is a member of the Property Litigation Association and plays for the Osborne Clarke football team. He joined Osborne Clarke in July 2019 from another major UK law firm.

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

I have assisted with the solicitor apprenticeship programme at Osborne Clarke and have taken part in several open days to introduce potential new apprenticeships to the firm. I take responsibility for supervising the solicitor apprentices within the property litigation team in Bristol and supporting their development through mentoring and connecting them with other members of the team.

This is critical to the future of the firm as it involves training the next generation of lawyers and the apprenticeship programme ensures that we gain access to a wide range of talent. This has been a valuable experience for me and I have enjoyed working with the dedicated and ambitious apprentices that have come through the programme.
