Stéphane Mazars

Stéphane is a lawyer specialising in commercial litigation, criminal business law, and arbitration within the Dispute Resolution and Business Ethics department.
He concentrates his practice from the prelitigation stages of a matter, including alternative dispute resolution methods, to Court trials concerning corporate affairs, including shareholder disputes, directors' liability, termination of established business relationships, and unfair competition. Stéphane has also developed a specific expertise in post-acquisition disputes, shareholder conflicts, as well as legal issues surrounding the dismissal of company directors.
Stéphane advises executives and both French and international companies before the Courts and in arbitration proceedings (including ad hoc and ICC arbitrations).
In criminal cases, Stéphane has been part of defence teams for several high-profile financial and economic criminal cases. He handles all stages of criminal proceedings in areas such as labour law (harassment, discrimination), IT law (cybercrime), consumer law (misleading commercial practices), and business law (misappropriation of company assets, fraud).
Stéphane holds degrees from Panthéon-Sorbonne University and ESCP Europe (Master in Management) and has taught business criminal law at Pantheon-Assas University. He is proficient in French, English, and Spanish.
