Shelagh Sorensen is Osborne Clarke’s International Director of Operations & Business Development. 

She is responsible for driving the firm’s strategic agenda and leading major transformation initiatives across its international network. Drawing on more than 20 years’ experience in senior global roles in international law firms and corporates, she brings a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record in designing and implementing integrated strategies that deliver profitable growth, operational efficiency, and measurable business results.

Working closely with the International CEO and International Board, Shelagh shapes and executes Osborne Clarke International’s 2030 strategy, business plan and operating model, ensuring alignment with the firm’s international vision while responding to local market needs. She leads on developing a robust, future‑focused organisational and central services framework, optimising systems, processes, and risk management to support seamless, client-focused delivery across jurisdictions.

Shelagh also plays a pivotal role in developing practice and client strategies, as well as cross-border opportunities. Through her leadership of multi-national, high-performing teams and her commitment to talent development, she helps build the capabilities the firm needs for long-term success.
