Lucas Michel

Lucas is an experienced EU and Belgian life sciences regulatory lawyer advising pharma, food, feed, and med tech companies on complex regulatory and compliance matters.

He obtained a Master of Law from the Universite libre de Bruxelles and studied at the College of Europe, where he obtained an LLM in EU law magna cum laude.  With more than six years at the Brussels Bar, a traineeship at the Court of Justice of the EU, and at traineeship at the European Parliament's legal service, Lucas has developed strong capabilities in law and policy.

Lucas specialises in regulatory and compliance matters in the life sciences sector, working with pharma products, food, feed, and medical devices at EU and Belgian levels.  He supports clients on regulatory strategy, market access, and compliance across European operations.  He has experience working on complex, technical queries and handling cross-border matters.

His work encompasses the full product life cycle, covering early access, CE-marking, conformity assessment, cross-border distribution, pricing and reimbursement, and marketing, including related to activities with healthcare professionals (anti-gift, sunshine rules).  He also advises on product safety issues and crisis management (e.g., investigations, withdrawals, recalls).
