Louis Hoffreumon
Louis is a Counsel in Osborne Clarke’s Commercial team in Brussels, specialising in Belgian and EU product regulation, consumer protection and marketing law for digital products and fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG).
He advises on sustainability and green claims and on digital regulation, helping clients bring products to market, keep them there and defend them. His work blends advisory, transactions and disputes, from product safety and market access to marketing and consumer protection, and he appears before Belgian courts and regulators.
Commercially, he drafts and negotiates the contracts that underpin launches and scale: manufacturing and supply‑chain arrangements, e-commerce and platform terms. Grounded in Belgian commercial law, he is pragmatic on risk and keeps momentum without losing sight of compliance.
A core member of Osborne Clarke’s TMC and Retail teams, he acts for fast‑growth tech, consumer brands and global platforms. He is regularly involved in multi‑jurisdictional programmes on contracts and compliance, delivering consistent, localised outcomes with Osborne Clarke’s network and trusted local counsel, and he bridges international expectations through structured project management and single‑point accountability.
Secondments with international companies, including Google, have sharpened his sense of stakeholder priorities and pace. He contributes to Osborne Clarke's thought leadership on greenwashing, the future of food and digital regulation, tracks EU consumer and product‑liability reforms and platform/AI rules, and serves on Osborne Clarke’s and the French‑speaking Brussels Bar’s D&I committees. He takes clients’ products seriously, not himself.
I help innovators turn regulation into an advantage. I’m straight‑talking, business‑first and solutions‑driven: cut noise, map risks, deliver options you can act on today. I thrive on complexity and tight timelines, aligning legal requirements with bold goals. Diversity and Inclusion isn’t a slogan—it’s how we think smarter and build better. I champion inclusion, mentor generously and keep teams as varied as the markets they serve. From Brussels to London, expect structure, a human touch and focused outcomes.
