As an employment lawyer, Julia advises both employers and senior executives on a wide range of HR and employment-related matters. These include unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, disciplinary issues, grievances, TUPE and defending tribunal claims. She also advises investors, buyers and sellers on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Retraining to be a solicitor was a significant change in direction from Julia’s former career as a speech and language therapist for the NHS, although the insight gained from her personal experience of working in both the public and private sectors is brought into play on a daily basis when advising employers.
Julia joined Osborne Clarke as a trainee in 2010 and qualified into the Employment team in 2012.
