Fjoralba Spahiu

Fjoralba is part of the Regulatory & Compliance and Commercial teams at Osborne Clarke in Brussels. She advises clients on Belgian and EU regulatory matters, with a particular focus on the Life Sciences and Healthcare, and Retail and Consumer sectors.

In her Life Sciences and Healthcare practice, she assists clients throughout the full product life cycle, from research and development and clinical activities through to market access, post-market compliance, product liability and risk management. Her work covers, among others, Belgian law aspects of pricing and reimbursement, promotional and marketing activities, and enforcement matters. She closely monitors regulatory and policy developments that may affect clients’ activities and invests time in understanding the specificities of their business models and technologies, including the increasing use of AI across the product life cycle.

In the field of Consumer Products, she advises on a wide range of regulatory issues, including product classification, labelling and packaging, marketing and promotional activities, and waste and sustainability requirements, in sectors such as food, cosmetics and other regulated consumer goods. She also has experience in unfair commercial practices and helps clients design compliant and strategic approaches to placing and promoting their products on the market.

Through her work with the Commercial team, Fjoralba has developed experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and in commercial litigation. This enables her to deliver regulatory advice that is aligned with broader contractual, commercial and enforcement considerations and to propose practical compliance strategies.

She obtained her Master’s degree in law from the ULB – Université libre de Bruxelles and holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and ICT Law from KU Leuven. To deepen her expertise in Life Sciences, she regularly attends industry events and training, and participates in a mentorship programme organised by W@LifeSciences, a reference platform for professionals in the Life Sciences industry.
