Eva Laan

Eva is an associate in Osborne Clarke's Technology, Media & Communications team in Amsterdam. She specialises in (e-)privacy and data protection law.

Expertise
Eva advises on a wide range of topics related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ancillary legislation, such as the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act and the Dutch Telecommunications Act. Her work includes assisting clients with GDPR compliance programmes and audits, implementing privacy policies, managing cross‑border transfers of personal data and handling data breaches. She also advises on matters relating to direct marketing and cookies.

Qualifications
Eva was admitted to the Dutch bar in February 2022. Before joining Osborne Clarke in March 2026, she worked as an associate at a Dutch law firm, focusing on data protection law and financial regulatory law.

She holds an LL.M. in Information Law from the University of Amsterdam and completed a post-graduate specialization course in Data Protection and Privacy Law at Leiden University in 2025. Eva is member of the Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR).
