Charlie Hennig
Charlie is a regulatory lawyer specialising in product regulation and food law.
She advises a broad range of clients including manufacturers, distributors and retailers, primarily in the retail and consumer and Tech, Media and Comms sectors, on a wide range of UK and EU legislation spanning general product regulation, packaging, right to repair, consumer safety, food law, and supply chain due diligence, with a particular focus on the fast-evolving sustainability agenda. Charlie is passionate about helping clients navigate an increasingly complex and fast-moving regulatory landscape, working with them to anticipate change and develop practical, forward-looking compliance strategies.
She has a particular interest in the future foods space, including novel foods and alternative proteins, and is recognised for her ability to identify and advise on the growing intersections between food, packaging, and sustainability regulation.
Prior to joining the team as an Associate, Charlie was the Regulatory Disputes Knowledge Lawyer, responsible for driving technical excellence across the team. In that role she monitored legal and regulatory developments, delivered training internally and externally, and provided expert input on complex technical queries. This experience has given her a deep and broad understanding of regulatory frameworks including across food, products and ESG, as well as a sharp instinct for where regulation is heading. This expertise enables her to translate fast-moving legislative developments into clear, practical advice, helping clients to anticipate change and build robust compliance strategies well ahead of implementation.
