Carlos specialises in real estate investment and development transactions, with a particular focus on living assets – including student accommodation, build-to-rent, co-living, senior living and care home facilities – as well as hotel and logistics assets.

His practice spans a broad range of transactions across all asset classes — residential, retail, office, hotel, logistics and industrial, and development land – with particular expertise in forward funding and forward purchase structures in connection with the development and acquisition of student accommodation, nursing homes and hotel assets throughout Spain.

Carlos also has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts for development and building projects, including contracts based on domestic and international standard forms. His asset management experience encompasses advising both landlords and tenants on the negotiation and execution of leases across all commercial and residential asset classes.

His clients include domestic and international investment funds, SOCIMIs, developers and family offices.
