Amelia Atkinson

Amelia is an associate in Osborne Clarke's Regulatory Disputes team in London, working across the firm's broader Commercial Disputes practice. With over four years' post-qualification experience, Amelia advises on complex commercial litigation for Claimant's and defendants, and a range of regulatory disputes. Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, Amelia practised at a leading international law firms in Australia, acting on large scale litigation, investigations and inquiries.

How I help clients

Amelia supports clients at every stage of disputes, from pre-action strategy and correspondence through to filing, disclosure, expert evidence and preparation for final hearing. She works closely with clients to understand the commercial realities behind their disputes, helping them make informed decisions about risk and resolution at each stage of proceedings. Alongside contentious work, Amelia provides ad hoc legal advice to help clients navigate compliance obligations and identify potential legal exposure before disputes arise, working to resolve issues early and avoid litigation where possible. 

Notable experience

Advising a major technology and outsourcing company in high-value, multi-claim procurement litigation against a central government department, raising issues of unequal treatment, manifest error, abnormally low tendering, and confidentiality breaches in connection with a large-scale public sector business process services contract.
