Osborne Clarke's German Tech Lawyer Arrives in California

Published on 10th Sep 2014

I had the pleasure of joining Osborne Clarke’s team of EU qualified lawyers based in Silicon Valley and San Francisco in August 2014.

Usually, I am based in Osborne Clarke’s Cologne, Germany office but – when offered – I took the chance to spend the remainder of 2014 in the firm’s two California offices.

Not only has the City welcomed me and my family with outstandingly beautiful weather (and an earthquake), but also my new colleagues made my start here a very enjoyable task.

I am deeply impressed by the energy, the creativity and all the activity going on in the tech and online scene and enjoy becoming a part of it.

While on the West Coast, I am looking forward to making “the City” and “the Valley” my second home (despite the lack of opportunities to watch Germany’s best football club 1. FC Köln) and to be working with fast-growing technology companies expanding into Germany and across Europe.

I have extensive experience advising national and international software companies, online providers, game developers and publishers in the German market, supporting them to find practical solutions to comply with Germany’s outstanding requirements in the field of consumer protection, data protection and marketing law.”
