Future of Financial Services Week | Review of 2022 and Forecasts for 2023 – a European perspective

This session will provide an overview of economic and legislative changes and trends in 2022 and will look forward to 2023 at European level and also at national level in a number of jurisdictions. Our heads of the Financial Services sector in Germany (Tanja Aschenbeck), the Netherlands (Johannes de Jong), Italy (Nunzia Melaccio) and France (Karima Lachgar) will present the main local developments of the past year with a specific focus on the FinTech and crypto market covering both regulatory and economic topics affecting the Financial Services sector. Looking forward the session will cover developments that will influence the Financial Services sector in 2023. This will cover important innovations such as MiCAR, ECSP and the DLT pilot regime that will come into force in March 2023.
