Construction Review of the Year
Our in person Construction Review of Year in London will feature practical, case based updates on key dispute themes and an interactive workshop focused on applying lessons to live projects.
8:30 am – 9:00 am - Welcome breakfast
9:00 am – 11:00 am – Review and workshop session
11:00 am – 11:30 am – Networking and close
After a hot breakfast, the session will deliver a series of practical legal updates on the issues shaping construction, followed by an interactive workshop focused on applying those lessons to live projects.
Legal updates
The first half will consist of a short round-up of key updates to recent case law, legislation and industry news with clear, actionable takeaways for use on current and upcoming projects. Topics covered will include:
- Adjudication
- Building safety
- Planning & Infrastructure Bill
- The use of AI in construction (with guest speaker Eman Elnakly of Rimkus)
- JCT 2024 suite updates
Interactive workshop
This will take the form of an Osborne Clarke chaired interactive panel session with Jonathan Cope of MCMS as a guest speaker. It will feature a live case study of a construction project to unpack project challenges, claim strategy and dispute resolution choices - guided by audience questions and live polling to steer the narrative.
Finally, there will be an opportunity to exchange experiences with peers and engage directly with our specialists.
We hope to see you there and look forward to a lively, practical discussion on the year’s current industry themes and how they affect your projects.
