Osborne Clarke appoints Michel Chatelin as a Partner for the Dutch Energy practice

International law and notary firm Osborne Clarke has appointed Michel Chatelin as Partner to bolster the Dutch Energy & Energy Transition team. Osborne Clarke has established a strong presence in the Energy & Energy Transition industry across Europe over the past 10-15 years.

Michel was previously a partner at Eversheds Sutherland, where he led the energy practice and the competition practice in the Netherlands. Michel is a specialist in energy law, competition law, and commercial contracts. The focus of his practice is on the energy transition. With his extensive experience in the energy sector, Michel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm. He advises national and international companies, as well as governments and public sector institutions.

Michel has been affiliated with the International Institute for Energy Law in Leiden and the European Commission, DG for Energy. He is a sought-after speaker for conferences, seminars, and training courses. Additionally, Michel is member of the Supervisory Board of the Amelander Energy Cooperative, member of the legal and tax working group of trade association Holland Solar and a member of the energy working group of 2Tokens for digital assets.
